My job is to manage the Community Care Service of the City Council for Adults with Learning Disability.
- I am helped by around 90 staff who work at Thomas Lewis House, Southampton Day Services and Kentish Road.
- I have a budget of around £10 million and I have to be very careful that this does not get overspent.
- I am responsible for buying services from private and voluntary services such as support workers and residential care
I started work as a social worker in Hampshire and have worked in several parts of Hampshire and Portsmouth. I have been back in Southampton since 1990.
