To help the Partnership Board make "Valuing People" happen in Southampton involving partners from statutory, voluntary section for children and adults.
To help improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and their families in Southampton by taking forward the plans agreed by the Partnership Board.
How we will do this:
- Make sure that everything is person centred
- Make sure that family carers have the same quality of life as non-carers
- Make sure that people with learning disabilities and family carers are involved in all the plans
- Provide support to the NHS, social care, voluntary and other related organizations in taking forward the annual plan voted for by the Partnership Board
- Provide support and information to colleagues
- Lead the subgroups set up under the Local Implementation Group that look at specific areas of the White Paper
- To organize or help with conferences and workshops which are taking forward the work of the Partnership Board
- To share information about the development of services and think about new services
- Develop and support bids about spending the Learning Disability Development Fund as asked to by the Partnership Board
- Present reports on progress to the Partnership Board
